Lizzy Renihan

Lizzy trained at LAMDA.

Lizzy has most recently written and performed in her one woman show ‘Songs What I Wrote’ for The People Show. Before this she played the leading role of Anna in the touring West End production of The King And I.

Her professional work includes the West End productions of Les Miserables, Children Of Eden, Starlight Express,  Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat.

She has played principal roles for the Royal Shakespeare Company in productions of The Beggar’s OperaA Jovial Crew and Antony and Cleopatra.

For The Royal National Theatre she played principal roles in CandideMoney, Oh What A Lovely WarSummerfolk and The Villain’s Opera.

Her plays for the Bridewell Theatre include An Englishman Abroad and Can’t Stand Up For Falling Down

Her other work includes Penny in Honk  Stephen Joseph Theatre,  Estelle in Great Expectations Theatre Clywd and Grisabella in Cats Hamburg

Her TV work includes the regular part of Jo in the BBC1 sitcom Kiss Me Kate, Alison in Smugglers for Channel 4 and Diane in Serious and Organised for ITV.

Lizzy is a solo singer for the BBC Concert Orchestra and the RTE Concert Orchestra and has performed live with her sister Grainne on Friday Night Is Music Night for BBC Radio.

She was heard in the West End production of By The Bog Of Cats as the voice of Hester Swane’s mother, who sings her haunting refrain throughout the piece.

She wrote and performed in the critically acclaimed Comedy Revue Sisters with her 3 sisters at venues such as Pizza On The Park, Ronnie Scotts, The Oxo Tower and The Jermyn Street Theatre.

Lizzy is now musical director and founder of the Natural Voices choir.
